It was the middle of the night, this guy was promising to beat the woman and her children, which he had done many times before. The guy did not back down. One of the cops was also black.

Was it excessive? I have no idea, but the whole situation was terrible and would have been a completely different story if that man killed the woman or any of her children. I will not weep for a domestic abuser.
