I find this utterly amazing. It's just amazing that any government official anywhere feels they can ignore a ruling by the highest court of the law because it fails to adhere to their personal beliefs.

I predict 7 to 9 years before every State actually does issue marriage licenses to gay couples seeking one. Look at school desegregation in the South after Brown v Board of Education ruling. The President had to actually send in armed troops to enforce the SCOTUS ruling so that black students could physically enter the previous all white highschools. |
