It does. But since it's Russia (not the US of A), we have a catapult for the capsule with humans. At least one "Soyuz" has really blown up during the lift off, but both cosmonauts are still alive because they were saved by the catapulting system. Hint: your shuttles had never have one, so the US astronauts were doomed by default.
