Popular opinion has nothing to do with this. Anything that goes against the U.S. Constitution is considered treason. 200 years ago, these crooked politicians would already be hanging from a tree. Thanks to "popular opinion", this country has become pussified. Politicians are rarely held accountable for the damage they cause and/or the lies they tell.
