An illegal immigrant who was deported six times is accused in a hit-and-run crash that injured a mother and her two young children.
Police say Manuel Perez-Vasquez was high on marijuana on July 4 when he crossed a double yellow line in Pinal County, Ariz., and smashed into another car.
A 5-year-old boy and his 2-year-old sister suffered head injuries.

Perez-Vasquez and his passengers initially fled the scene, but Perez-Vasquez returned, authorities say.
Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu said that Perez-Vasquez admitted to smoking pot ?within the last 24 hours? before the crash.
Babeu said he will not turn Perez-Vasquez over to ICE or Border Patrol. Instead, he wants the suspect to be convicted and to serve time in Arizona before facing a seventh deportation.
?It appears there are no consequences for breaking immigration law," Babeu told Fox 10 Phoenix.
Perez-Vasquez, who has been deported six times in the last three years, is charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an injury collision.
