Parades are important for opressed people or for solidarity within a group of people who want to establish an identity whether it be a culture, a language, a politics etc. No one starts a parade for being mainstream, straight or for liking a favourite cheese. Look at St Patricks Day, Mardis Gras, Battle of the B..... I'd gladly join a parade to tell people that there are millions of people to support this guy;
