What makes him unqualified to have an opinion on the issue, where you are? The fact that he's employed? You don't have to be a minority to have an opinion on an issue or to have a valid opinion on the issue. But you do have to be a minority to rely on a piss poor excuse like "you're not qualified to have an opinion in a national debate - because you're not me"
