for me, Allen West could have used the flag issue as a stepping stone in the right direction segueing into that being a harbinger to blacks (and others) addressing black on black crime.
not as a distraction from another issue.
I'm not seeing how pointing his finger at the flag issue in a *so what, black on black crime*, would be a motivator. you get more bees with honey.
