The only suggestion I would mildly disagree with is getting more active affiliates. That is a real challenge these days but I am working on that right now. (I introduced a $99.95 payment option and have already made sales with it so I'm sending emails to all affiliates on Monday urging them to get in on this new pricing option. They will make almost $50 per signup!)
I love the idea of talking to different ad networks. I think because of the responses here (thanks to all) I will not try playing with Google Adwords. The last thing I want is what you described (and what Roald experienced).
And heck, if none of this works there's always.....cams & dating, right? :D
