.
and that's cool. i'm looking at this video and attack on a surfer from the view as a surfer. surfers are the most riskiest group of all to get attacked by a shark, that's statistically accurate. when i stated that shark was curious about dinner, it was a figure of speech re: what sharks are curious about when it comes to surfers. it's obvious that humans are not a part of the great white shark's natural menu, nevertheless, there's a shark with its mouth wide open and water foaming around a surfer, telltale signs of trouble. so i didn't see any fear mongering in a news story with video about the surfer.

re: the common sense- i don't go surfing during thunderstorms either, just like with sharks venturing into the area, the storm will pass and i can paddle out later with only having to worry about the ocean kicking my ass, not sharks or lightning.

not saying surfers (and everyone) needs to be diligint in our fight against the sharks, just saying that when sharks are in the area, like a storm, i find it's best to not paddle out.

maybe there is some fear-mongering in general on tele about sharks, i can see that, but i think in this instance, i found it to be a valid news story.
