Just let the candidates say what they have to say about their positions and let the PEOPLE decide for themselves.

Instead, we have the media trying to create news. And then hour after endless hour of "political analysts" on panels at Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC "explaining" everything to us and giving us their fucking opinion.

And damned if it doesn't actually work to make people believe whatever the 2 party's and the media push for.

I don't need Fox or CNN to tell me anything about what I think and who I should vote for.
I don't need The Huffington Post to tell me that Trump isn't "serious".

Who the fuck are these people? WE are the people who need to really listen to what these candidates are saying and make up our minds.

The media during the election in 2012 was so goddamned childish that it was sickening.
Instead of talking about economic growth and all the wars that our govt. keeps us in...the discussion was about Mitt Romney putting his dog in a dog carrier on the roof of a car in 1983??? Or Mitt Romney cutting some kids hair for a hazing over 50 years ago when he was a young guy?

WTF!?!?!?

And now? All the media wants to do is poke Trump with a stick.

You know the guy does have a plan and he wants to talk about what he thinks he can do for the U.S. economy.

But we don't hear about it. All we hear about is this endless media instigated "fighting" amongst Republicans.
Who cares?
Yes, it is entertaining.
No, it's not the job of the free press.

It's disgusting to me. And to watch them do it so blatantly is almost scary. They aren't even trying to hide it. And NOBODY is calling them out on it nationally.

I don't believe the media is trying to shape public opinion. They find something that is interesting, and then keep feeding it to us because it increases ratings. If they reported on kitten rescues all week long, no one would watch them and eventually they would all shut down. Instead they still do their fluff pieces, report on the real news, but then when they find something that helps to drive the ratings they pick at it.

This is why CNN will constantly talk about the same news article over and over again until it bores us to tears.

In part the media does shape our opinion, but not because they want us to see things in a certain light - but because reporting on certain things increases ratings. The public dictates what the media plays and the media plays it over and over again until we want to see something else.

I have the feeling here Robbie that you are seriously into Trump and hurt by all of the negative press.
