Figured I'd ask everyone here to list a site or two they've come across that
features what they would regard as the best in modern web design.

I am just trying to get an idea of what the best web design looks like.

PS I'll be honest, as a longtime web designer, the current cult of "flat, responsive" sites doesn't thrill me. I am sure it gets the job done, but what do you see as the next creative aesthetic achievement in web design? Let's share here.
