I think once you get stuck in the system you are completely screwed. Donny is a good example of this - He hasn't even gone to trial and he's lost everything. He lost the place he was renting, his car has been repossessed, his little business is completely sunk; Even his dogs had be given away.
Unless you have money you are fucked. Donny is going to trial with on charges of molestation with a public defender....
Even if he is found completely innocent he will have lost everything.
