What exactly does it get wrong? The bad part about soda is not the calories, but the large dose of sugar that spikes your insulin and keeps your body performing as a fat storage shed. There's some talk about diet soda triggering the same things that the fully sugared version does.
People who lose all that weight from stopping soda can thank the better insulin control as one of the contributing factors.
