For the last 16 years the only thing that has mattered in getting anyone elected was 'how retarded their opponent happened to be." The last two decades have been much more about people disliking Romney, McCain, Kerry and Gore than they were about anyone being in favor of W or Obama.
Our last real election was people picking Bill Clinton over Bob Dole, who each had at least some of the respect of the people who didn't vote for them. Prior to them you have to go back probably to LBJ and Goldwater in 1964 to get 2 real candidates.
2016 is shaping up to be Hillary vs 'whoever crawls out of the clown car first' and while Hillary has lots of flaws, the race will be decided by the retard in opposition more than it will be decided by anyone liking Hillary affirmatively. I do hope we get more than one candidate again some day. The hope of a third party is quickly becoming replaced by the hope of having at least 2 political parties.
