Here's a great text editor : Bare Bones Software | BBEdit 11 perfect for creating and editing HTML, css etc.

And if you haven't done it yet, go into you mouse settings (Click "System Preferences" (the thing that looks like a gear box) then mouse, enable "Secondary Click", and then un-check "Scroll Direction: Natural". For me this makes mouse movement for natural.

Been using it since I started on the Mac in 1992. I have tried all the others but always come back to it.
