Another fun fact. During the years Marion Barry was in power, the amount of murders that happened each year in DC were more than double the amount of "incompetent" Canadian soldier deaths over the course of the entire 12 years or so Canada had troops fighting in Afghanistan. He's clearly a true American hero.
