When I said Ford had some redeeming qualities when it came to budgetary concerns, that is exactly what I meant.... he managed to not bankrupt Toronto and cut costs in many areas. Other than that he was a complete buffoon and a joke. Barry was mentioned simply as an example of a US version of the things you said you hated about Canada. Any fool can see that.
