How do you think US will have respect in the first place? That would be a great opening question, then we can think that how Trump will help in accomplishing that.
Somehow I see the rest of the world showing middle finger to Trump and US with him, but maybe you have different picture. For starters Obama has made deals much appreciated by other countries (like climate change related) and somehow it seems that Trump will flush all that down the toilet. I don't know how US will get more respect this how. I don't think that some bombing will help either. The thing is that there is quite big value gap between US and other countries, especially western countries. Obama brought that gap closer, but Trump seems to have other intentions.
