We were taught in school how to acquire and assess information (reliable preferably). No Youtube videos required.
Do you know why they make so much Youtube videos about all kinds of bullshit? Because the performance of the narrator can be very convincing. It is like selling all kinds of hoaxes; a good salesman is very convincing even though he can tell totally bullshit. And it of course creates personal bonding (to the narrator) that you won't get from reading some article. These are the main reasons why bullshit sells better in the form of a video and thus videos are used to spread bullshit.
Guess who uses much Youtube videos in here?
