the USA has never really "won" anything...the last real victory of the USA was dropping 2 nukes on jap fishermen...

so the real question should be:

with technology advancing everywhere in the world, regardless of the fact that americans seem to believe that they have some sort of monopoly on intelligence and creation, does the USA want to fuck this up even more?

soon we will all have nukes anyway...technology is nothing donald trump or hillary can stop...I know this is hard to believe for many 'mericans...
