The American Dream was shattered during the recession when people were loosing their jobs and their houses. Now the American Dream is alive and kicking.

The American Dream has always been alive and well. It's harder to get now than it was 20 years ago, but it is still out there.
That said, just because your neighbor bought a car and another is panting their house doesn't mean all is great in the economy.
According to Gallup 14.7% of the people are underemployed and 37% of the population says they are worried about money.
I would ask this. How many of your neighbors are up to their eyes in debt? If they lost their jobs how long until the new Benz is repo'd and the house is foreclosed on?
