I hate it when that happens!! Same thing happened to me when I tried to load my Stabucks app. Transaction didn't go through (but it should have) and bank locked my card down. Fun.
August: half the world is on vacation/holiday right now. Banks see all those transactions coming from different places and they clamp down. Plus people are spending their time and cash on vacation stuff, back-to-school things, Labor Day parties, first week of the NFL (gambling). All equals a shitty time of year.
April and August are always the worst for me.
