I suppose there is almost no reason to come here for resources unless there is some rare element on earth.
Then there is the matter of finding this planet. I can't imagine the computer power it would take to quickly analyze every grain of sand on a beach. Then I think about analyzing every speck in the vastness of space and it doesn't seem possible. I know it is though.
If aliens wanted to conquer us they probably still wouldn't come in person. They might send war drones or biological weapons instead. Or maybe they'll hack into our internet from a million light years away and kill us with our future robots.
I just can't think of a reason for aliens to come to earth unless they want to take some of us back to their game preserves.
