No they don't.. In Congress they are on the republican ticket and cast their votes right in line with every other republican.. The only rare times they might vote differently is when there is enough republicans to pass a bill with out their vote, so they can then grandstand on their "principles".
Libertarian is not middle of the road, it's not it's own party, it's just a splinter group of Republicans the same as the Tea Party is.. They might try to claim they are separate but they take the same money, they vote the same way..
