I don't think Carson is pandering at all either.
I just think he's putting out there in his own quiet demeanor way that he is THE guy for the religious right.
And if you think about it, politically he IS the perfect guy for the religious right.
A super intelligent doctor who is thoughtful and softspoken and doesn't give off the "crazy" aura of a Palin or a Santorum.
I personally wouldn't want anyone in office talking about their "beliefs" and can't stand it when I hear politicians who ARE in office babbling that children's superstitious crap.
I don't know how they can do it with a straight face. And I can just imagine them having a beer afterwards and laughing about it.
