escalope didn't originate in Italy, but every Italian will say it's local
or chocolate mousse is also originally French, but the country you must try it... Portugal, they consistently have the best ones if you walk into a random restaurant and every restaurant will have it.
But in the end what does it fucking matter where it originated from, if locals have been making it well for decades????
