There is a difference between refusing to do your job (and thus getting fired) and an elected official refusing to obey a court order - which is why she is in jail right now.
Elected government officials cannot enforce their morals and values on others - and even more so when the Supreme Court has passed a ruling on the issue. The Supreme Court has ruled on the issue, this is not open to discussion, and this is why she is currently in jail. I hope she stays there.
