I completely agree with this take.

I think Europeans this time around see that there is a real possibility that the landscape of Europe can be changed if something doesn't happen now. It will just drive people to become more nationalistic. Which i believe is a good thing and maybe just the wake up call Europeans needed.

The situation is far beyond the typical trickle in immigration where the government is used to just pushing the problems to the side. This one is not going away. The governments of Europe will be forced to deal with it. The winter should provide a break in the migration as pointed out. By next spring the situation will be very interesting.

I don't see the people of Europe just looking the other way on this one and being fed whatever the government wants them to think.
