Military action followed by "Nation Building" is total bullshit -- a politically correct name for neo-colonialism. This has failed time after time -- that's a proven fact. Where this is said to have succeeded is bullshit too -- the peoples in conflict are still in simmering conflict. Look at Europe for example. They are all screaming at each other like fighting children -- at least the Europeans are not shooting at each other as this is an external threat. Marshall Plan 'Nation Building" after WW2. But it took a WW2 with 20 million dead and 60 million displaced people and refugees.

Korea = failure
Vietnam = failure
Iraq = failure
Afghanistan = outcome unknown but it looks like a future failure

Puffing words and smoke will not accomplish jack-shit.

Like you say 3,000 years of conflict ... ( I think 2,700 years is closer but that is splitting hairs).
