2. A list of the problems currently in the Middle East date back the the WW1 British and French mandates of the armistice and the Treaty of Lausanne you imperialists (haha) split up the borders with no regard to the religious and tribal land rights of the inhabitants.
Agreed, because many of these people were incapable of splitting themselves up peacefully. Look at the Independence of India and how they handled the splitting of Pakistan, both of them.

Even after they had their chance to throw out an evil dictator, it only leaves a power vacuum for other evil man to fill.

Do you see civil wars in Canada and Australia?

As to North America's success: North America from the Native peoples (North American Indians) perspective or the enslaved Africans was a big time fail. However, the success you see in North America what built by waves of immigration who worked for their success, and the success of their newly adopted countries success, and still do to this day.
The land was stolen from the people who had it, and even today too little is done to address that.

Most immigrants come to the USA to work and better themselves. On welfare an immigrant family might get $2,000 a month in social services -- that is just a poverty line existence -- the USA poverty line is $20,090 for a family of 3.
Is the US standard living and average salary increasing as fast as the economy?

The reason for this is the modern world is no longer reliant on manual labour. So the unskilled deprive a US unskilled citizen of a job. And keep wages down. This is beside the ease of outsourcing to countries where labour is $2,000 a month or less.
