What Merkel isn't figuring in a lot is the long term effects.
Europeans are getting very annoyed with the way politicians are dealing with this crisis. Europe cannot take 1,000,000 plus low skilled or non working migrants every year. From anywhere, of any colour of race. It's purely an issue of costs.
Housing them in wooden sheds insulated against the cold will cost, this is what you get for $3,000
Add insulating, land, toilets, paths, roads, food, healthcare, clothing, education, policing, fencing, etc. and before it's finished toh cost is spiraling.
And this is the only solution. The good thing about this solution is it removes the economic migrant from the equation.
Do anything else and the people who pay the bills, taxpayers, will vote out the liberals and the response Hungary has shown. Will seem soft and lenient.
