Pewdiepie was gargantuan well before south park highlighted him. Its because he was already incredibly famous that he was involved with south park. Pewdiepie has broken many youtube records and continues to kill it. There is something very big and very smart going on behind the scenes that made pewdie as big as he is. I have my ideas but still may never know what tactics lead to his fame.
