I own commercial green houses and produce off season vegetables as a side job, lets say I know a bit about agriculture. GMO is for the most part like american healthcare= one big expensive scam. Most GMO need more herbicides and do not give bigger yields at all. GMO is a racket, it focuses on putting naive farmers in debt slavery, they give them seeds that they KNOW will need their special brand of horribly over priced herbicides, because their plants do not react well to normally priced ones
now in good old USA fashion the horribly over priced GMO herbicides need to be sprayed a lot more than conventional ones so the Monsanto folks get to buy a 6th and 7th yacht
