probably because kings tend to eat diets that are exclusive to meats and cheeses and not near enough vegetables along the way. Doing that isn't necessarily bad for you on its own, but if you don't eat enough fibre/vegetables on top of that it can get your uric acid levels up very high and can lead to gout.

I thought I had it briefly but I think i changed things up in time to avoid anything further. basically just made sure i ate more nuts, seeds and vegetables. Anything that ups the fibre will get the uric acid levels down and less likely to get crystals.
