Personally, life value wise, no difference between a rat and a cow to a dog to a cat, all the same, we are one of the few I consider sentient. The orangutan comes close to us in my books as it can talk in sign and make new words up to continue on his own vocabulary having the ability to describe anything around it self to us to a very discernible language.
