Sad how much in denial people are about America's problem. The United States shares a border with a very similar population, Canada. Canada per capita has the same number of young anti-social male losers as the US, same number per capita of Canadian kids on SSRI's for ADD and depression and the rest of the mental illnesses popularly diagnosed by doctors these days, we watch the same TV shows, listen to the same music, we play the same violent video games, we have the same divorce rate, the same drug/alcohol problems - there is very little of much substance that separates Americans and Canadians except ONE thing ......

Gun culture.

Not even blaming guns, gun owners didn't create the society that breeds these losers but it's a cold fact that they exist and are growing in numbers, and when you have them in a country with such a strong and ubiquitous gun culture these tragedies are inevitable and are going to continue and increase unless there is something done to address it.
