I made that exact upgrade: S4 to S6 edge.
I found the S4 more reliable and less prone to crashes, but the S6 is mostly a fantastic phone. The edge features are useless IMO, but the better battery and amazing camera are awesome.
I also wish they could have kept the card slot.
