Odds of dying, that isn't the list of "leading cause of death in the US", it lists the ODDS of dying.

So for example.

*If* you self harm, the odds of dying are 1 in 115. That is entirely different to 1 in 115 of the population dying from self harm because 100% of people do not self harm.

*if* you are in a car accident, the odds of dying are 1 in 272 - starting to get it now?
