What makes you think that these kind of things are largely prohibited in other countries? With some minor caveats, you have these kind of freedoms in most other countries but there's obviously a vastly increasing limitation on what basic freedoms you have as a citizen of the USA, regardless of whether or not you reside within its borders. You must be either lacking in worldly wisdom or are somewhat indoctrinated.
