i never claimed it was abandoned either. perhaps some of the people who made entries were told to try again (or make adjustments) as they were narrowed down as their first entries werent sufficient. i didn't look at the thread to be honest but i really doubt the contest is broken down into that detail (how they would obtain a true winning ad)
go make a thread for a contest for a tour, see the samples you get, i think you'll realize that there isn't as much talent in the pool as there was 5-10 years ago.
you might only get a handful of submissions, especially if GFY is your only avenue. And those 5 most likely wont be top notch
i dont typically play devils advocate for adult companies in scenarios like this due to most of them being mismanaged and people are usually correct in their assumptions, however blacked creates a good product, clearly knows what a product needs to look like in 2015 (which is maybe why theyre being picky on a promo?), and also realizes what it takes to continue to succeed (expansion), which is more than you can say for alot. so far it appears they know what they are doing. so until im shown otherwise, i give them the benefit of the doubt
