If you want to go there..let's talk about how the Russians killed their own people if they wouldnt go be bullet shields by sending them into German lines with out having guns to protect themselves.
The point of bombing Japan like that was to completely demoralize them and destroy any will they had to fight.
You seem to easily forget how ruthless tje Japanese were in ww2. No one wanted to fight them to the bitter end with an invasion on their home soil.
Also how about east Germany and how russians treated them like prisoners for 30 or so years after ww2.
