And they were the ones taken from the piss-poor Iraqi army just like the armored vehicles ISIS took from the same US trained new Iraqi army that dropped their guns and ran home like at Ramadi ... The smartest thing to do would be to air drop 1000s of suicide belts
but they would just make them into IEDs. Both the insurgents and the Syrian government makes crude chemical weapons now that their 'regulation' chemical weapons have been confiscated.
There can be no winner in these conflicts. Containment is the only solution -- all sides have absolute positions so there is no real negotiated solution just a period of calm between storms.
