I don't know this guy, but the last thing I would call him is a hypocrite. Why? Because a hypocrite (to me) is someone who criticizes people for behavior that he himself does.

Maybe I'm wrong, I haven't read the volumes on this story, but the guy wasn't a child pornographer, so his having been in the porn biz has nothing to do with his sick crimes.
Hate the guy for being a condescending religious zealot who's also an attention whore as well as a soon-to-be convicted child rapist. So from that point of view I can see the "hypocritical" aspect - preaching against evil and being evil yourself. But let's keep the word pedophile and pornographer well apart.
