If he just made a clock to make a clock, why didn't he just say so?
Why did he blow off the school authorities? Which forced them to call the police?
Had the kid said he made a clock to make a clock, the police never would have been called.
Cry victim all you want. Explain the kids actions. And don't tell me he was scared. He was old enough to "build a clock," as so many love to be claiming right now, he was plenty smart enough to explain that he built a clock and if he didn't explain there would be repercussions.
If there is a kid in front of you with a device, regardless of what the device is, and he will not tell you what the device is and what it's for… how can you reasonably and responsibly say that it's not a situation for the police to be called? You have thousands of people in the vicinity, children, at risk. This is not a time to fuck around, especially in evil America with gun toting maniacs running everywhere (or maybe that's just a white redneck thing?) as non-Americans love to point out.
Stop the guns. Everything else is hands off! No questions asked!
