A lot of ISIS' operating revenue is from crude oil sales from the 'Caliphate' lands they have looted.
Much of ISIS' weapons and vehicles were stolen from the Iraqi Military.
I might speculate that there were stashes of arms hidden from the Saddam regime also.
Syrian government arms (from Russia mainly) may have fallen into ISIS' hands also.
Ironic that the USA and the Russians are fighting against their own weapons in the hands of ISIS and more ironic that they put them there for ISIS to steal and fight with. The swords are indigenous but the explosives for the IEDs they use are made in the USA and Russia mainly ... they don't make C4 locally
