Here in Portland a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is racist. Not too long ago the Portland school district underwent racial sensitivity training. One of the things they were taught is that when you make a math word problem you have to worry about how you word it so it isn't racial insensitive. The example they used was something like: If Jimmy has three peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and gives one and a half to his friends, how many does he have left? They claim that there are students who come from cultures where sandwiches are not typical staple foods and they don't eat typical sliced bread so they might find it racially insensitive.
And we wonder why we are raising an generation of entitled assholes.
