I love the comments stating what else would you do?

This is a child / teen who is obviously screaming for attention, what I would have done is move the entire class to another room and leave that one there.

Get the nurse / whoever to talk to her and ask her what is going on.

This is not right, a child should not be man handled like that, not by anyone ever.

School is for nurturing, not abusing - think about it.

I do not know of any schools in AU that do this, they may but i've never experienced it in my schooling / family etc
