i was quite happy to see him go, he is a boring character who lost all humor from his first appearances. I find that pretty much the only problem with the show: It doesn't have humor at all anymore. Everyone is ultra serious all the time. Even the army guy who was a fun character is now flat and boring.
In crisis situations there is always room for fucking around, especially if you've become used to how life is, like they all are. To me it's pretty unrealistic how everyone is continuously serious.
