It's a nice idea, but impossible. If I knew today was my last day I would want to have a few good drinks, fuck, do something fun and say goodbye to my friends and family. If I lived everyday as it it were my last I would never work and nothing would ever get done.

I think it is better to say "appreciate every day as if it is your last."
